Over 1,200 people so far have participated in creating the UK’s first River Charter for the Dart at Dartington. You are invited to join us to build a culture of care for water by giving a voice to our river and naming ourselves as co-stewards. Free and open to all.
Event date: Saturday 15th June, 10am-1pm
Venue: High Cross House on the Dartington estate
Free parking at High Cross House
This free workshop will be run as a World Café event, with an informal atmosphere, lots of expertise to draw on and a good work-out for our creativity. We have spent the last six months talking to as many river lovers as possible – this workshop will pull together all of the strands and groups involved in agreeing a coherent vision and priorities for the River Dart at Dartington going forward. Your presence is vital in sharing which places and experiences you value along this bend of the Dart.
For more details please email firstname.lastname@example.org by the 12th June. If you would like to participate but cannot attend, please add your voice by submitting this 2-minute survey by the 12th June.
The River Dart Charter at Dartington project also includes Citizen Science trainings with Westcountry Rivers Trust river scientists looking at river water quality, and it is connected to the Bioregional Learning Centre’s wider work around climate resilience.
