OXFORD REAL FARMING CONFERENCE

OXFORD REAL FARMING CONFERENCE

BLC will be playing a key role at the 2019 Oxford Real Farming Conference.

Isabel Carlisle will be chairing a panel discussion on ‘Bioregions: a powerful way to reconnect people to land’ at this always lively event in early January (3rd and 4th). The speakers will be: Molly Scott Cato (Green Party MEP for SW England and author of ‘The Bioregional Economy’), Andy Goldring (Coordinator of the Permaculture Association in England) and John Thackara (design leader and author of ‘How to Thrive in the Next Economy’).

All four people are advocates of addressing the challenges of the 21st century from the (bio) regional perspective. And the fact that the organisers of the conference leapt at the idea of this session is one small indicator that energy is growing around this way of working.
